Family Time

Saturday we decided it would be fun to take the girls and hike to Timpanogas Cave. It is a 3 1/2 mile hike round trip with a huge cave at the top where they give tours every 10 minutes. Once we actually made it to the top, we weren't sure if we were brave or stupid for doing this with our 5 yr. old, 3 yr. old and 3 month old girls. All in all, it turned out to be a great day. It cost $3 to get into the canyon and $5 for a tour of the cave. I would totally recommend it for anyone looking for something fun to do with your fam. These pictures are way out of order, but Lucy is going to wake up soon, so I'm not going to redo them.

Me and Lillie in the cave in front of the "heart" of the cave. Pretty cool. OK, any opinions on my hat? It was so great having my face shaded the entire day, but having said that, after looking at the pictures, I think I look like a dork.

Us at the top right after we got out of the cave. How funny is Lillie's pose?

Two sweethearts
Poor Brad carried Lucy both ways, I think his shoulders were ready to fall off by the end.
Ya, that's a Care Bear backpack that I'm wearing....only one I could find that morning...nice.
In the cave...it was chilly, 43 degrees year-round inside.

Happy 60!

This is my Dad
I might be slightly biased, but I think I have the best dad in the whole world.
Here are just a FEW reasons why he's so great:
  • Always, always had time to play with me when I was little
  • The most unselfish person I've ever met
  • Taught me how to be a hard worker
  • Not afraid to look silly, just to get a laugh out of his grandkids
  • Always bought the sugar cereals when he went to the grocery store without my mom
  • Taught me how to ride a bike
  • Went to work everyday at the same place for over 30 years and never complained
  • Shares his testimony with anyone without being embarassed or afraid
  • So generous
  • Always tries to see the good in people
  • Loves me unconditionally

Happy Birthday!

For those of you not yet addicted, plan a couple of days where you have nothing going on and go and read these books. You will not be sorry!

Blessing Weekend

This past weekend we had a ton of family come into town for Lucy's baby blessing. It was such a fun weekend. I love how family events bring everyone together. We had almost 20 people sleeping at our house, so there was never a dull moment. Here are some highlights......
Lillie, Abbie and Davis
Abbie and Lillie
My dad and Lillie did a good job of wearing each other out.

On Saturday, the guys (Scott, Dennis, Garrett, Brad, my dad, and Blaine-Brad's dad) all went golfing. Before they went, these 4 hooligans went to WalMart and bought t-shirts. Their only requirement for the shirt, it had to have a skull. What the heck?

Saturday afternoon we threw a surprise baby shower for McCall. It was so fun to see the look on her face when she came down the stairs and we all yelled surprise. I can't believe we pulled it off, it was such a great afternoon and she got the cutest stuff. Girl clothes are the best!
